ENT

Recently, the experts of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, ophthalmology and neurosurgery have introduced their own modifications of dakriocystorynostomi in patients with chronic dakriocystyties. The main complaint of patients is constant tearing because of inflammation due to blocked roads and natural lacrimal tear does not fall into the nasal cavity (as is normal), and flows out on the cheek. Dakricystorynostomy is surgery, which is the formation of new connections lacrimal sac with the nasal cavity.

Performed mainly its combination of two experts: the part of the lacrimal tract - ophthalmologist, from the nose - otolarynologist. Doctor introduces the lacrymal point and probe penetrates the lacrimal sac in tears, nasal canal. The presence of the probe in the channel is a reliable guide for otolaryngologist, who with the help of electro-boron forms a 5-8 mm hole in the side wall of the nasal bone and using nasal forceps remove the connective tissue wall of the lacrimal sac. As a result of these actions created a hole becomes visible tip of the probe, previously entered in ophthalmologist tearful way. At the tip of the nasal cavity ENT specialist puts end thin PVC tube, which is fixed to the wings of the nose hub seam. Patients are in the ophthalmology department for one week, they washed the tear paths on both sides: through the lachrymal points and entered through a nose tube. After 7-10 days the nasal tube removed, during this time formed bone wall of the nasal reliable way of conducting tears and treatment of chronic watery.

At the end of 2013 came into operation a new operating unit, which is located at the department of surgical dentistry and includes two operating rooms, two preoperative, presterilization room, sterilization, material and medical staff room. Currently operating unit is equipped with a set of equipment for intranasal operations and perform the whole spectrum of surgery on the nose and prenasal sinuses. It is planned to establish operating microscope for surgery on the ear, cosmetic operations on the nose, and for making dental implants and other dental procedures.

Ophthalmology. In 2013 in ophthalmology clinic circuit TOR "TUL" introduced one of the newest methods of treatment of keratoconus and other corneal degenerative diseases - cross-linkinh. The method is based photopolymerization chemical reaction corneal collagen fibers that occurs as a result of the combined action of harmless photosensitive substance (riboflavin or vitamin B2) and low intensity ultraviolet radiation (spectrum A). The main purpose of cross-linkin - to strengthen the cornea that slow the progression of the disease and in some cases allows to avoid complicated operations of transplantation. Cross-linkin carried out in two phases and lasts about an hour. The first 30 minutes of the cornea is saturated with vitamin B2, which put in to the eye every two minutes. The next half hour on the cornea acts specifically modeled and dosed UV produced by a specially designed lamp or linker, which is served with small five-minute breaks in six phases.

Neurosurgery. In order cranioplasty common brain defects and facial skull in patients after decompression cranioektomy due to brain injury and brain prolapse after a trepanation hole that arose for other reasons. Assoc. P.S.Hudak began extensive use of CT stereolithography modeled titanium ("Osteonano", "Nycomed") grafts. This technique introduced him to practice neurosurgery department KO TOR "TUL" after training in the University Hospital of Xalapa (Mexico) Peych (Hungary) and Bonn (Germany). The use of such grafts individually modeled allowed to correct a cosmetic defect of the skull of any shape and size with minimal risk of complications.
